Maple Walnut Crepes with Caramelized Apples | Fabtastic Eats A few weeks back, I babbled on about Sunday brunch, and breakfast at my Grandmothers. (I still miss it, by the way.) But I yapped about how we all used to go over there every Sunday after Church, all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of our friends, and we’d eat all day long, whether it was hot and we were on the lake or playing horse shoes, or cool and sitting around the fire, we’d eat!

Maple Walnut Crepes with Caramelized Apples | Fabtastic Eats One of her most popular meals were crepes. The woman would make them in bulk! She’d have 3-4 frying pans sizzling with butter, and cooking all 25+ of us crepes, on rotation. She’s nuts, I tell you. But ohmylord was it so fantastic, and to this day, good ol’, plain ol’ crepes are my most faaaavorite breakfast or brinner everrr. Now my three year old begs for them at least four days a week. I try to limit him a liiiiiittle. But hey, who am I to say no to a great thing?

Maple Walnut Crepes with Caramelized Apples | Fabtastic Eats Today, I fancied it up a bit. If you want to call it that? Really I just added walnuts and switched up the flour. One of these days Ill have to share my Grandmas famous plain old, three ingredient, out-of-this-world, crepe recipe..though I’m convinced it’s the half cup of butter she cooked them in, and the cup of brown sugar I rolled them up with is what makes them world famous! 😉

But really, you have to sit at my Grandma’s kitchen table, wait for her to flip one on to your plate, and roll it up with some goodies, to see what I’m talking about!

Maple Walnut Crepes with Caramelized Apples These crepes today, are so damn tasty too! Yes, they’re made with whole wheat flour, but theres also walnut flour all cooked into it too with some real maple syrup, so they’re super nutty! Then they’re filled with maple yogurt and caramelized apples!

These crepes are incredibly simple to make, and easy to prepare! They look and sound fancy, and will make you and/or your guests feel so special too! They’re full of maple, cooked with walnut, (topped with too if you so desire!), and loaded with sweet, caramelized apples!

A fancy Fall breakfast to the max! enjoy!
